“I’m in love with cities I’ve never been to and people I’ve never met!”

Hi everyone! This is our opening post on the Urbanauts blog so we had to make it a special one!

First of all, I’d like to talk about the message on the title. Why is it important to us? Because we feel it really illustrates the Urbanauts experience. We don’t know who said it, we’re not even claiming it’s ours but for some reason it fits perfectly.

When we created the app, our goal was to have people from all over the world sharing their experiences and expressing their favorite cities through amazingly unique posters. These “posters” would allow others to travel, virtually, to any city in the world and even though we’re just one month into our launch, we’re proud to say that it’s been an amazing feeling logging in and out of nowhere seeing amazing posts from all corners of the world. From Curitiba to Moscow, from NY to Paris, all the way to Seoul and many small cities we’d never even heard of.

We know we have so much more to grow, so much more to do and this is only the beginning. However it’s exciting envisioning something with a group of friends, working hard to pull it together and finally seeing it come to life. Whoever has had the “startup experience” will tell you, there’s no better feeling than using your own product and being proud.

We’d like to thank all of our early adopters and especially the ones who took their time to send us crucial feedback. Please continue to do so. Urbanauts is not just for us, it’s for the world! We want to hear from all of our users! We hope you enjoy the app and keep exploring!

Here’s one of my own posters from San Francisco that embodies creating anything from the ground up. “Uphill struggle but with a beautiful view”
